Your opportunity

Hypernode is a high performance PaaS for Magento and Shopware websites worldwide. Our customers are professional web builders who can configure their shops on our platform themselves for optimal performance, but sometimes run into a problem and need help. As a Technical Support Engineer you like to get stuck in the details, and solve problems in a structural way so they don't happen again. Finally, you like to delight the customer with your solutions. Are you a self-proclaimed nerd, who still likes human contact and therefore prefers to provide technical support instead of just writing code or building infrastructure? Then this job is made for you.


What your day will look like

You often start your work day with a new problem but end the day with happy customers, because you helped them find solutions and have also added new best practices in the knowledge base. You will be part of the Tier 2 team, working with Tier 1 to respond to customers via email, chat, and phone. You will be customer focused, providing appropriate technical advice, but also daring to point customers to documentation so they can solve their problems independently. 


What you have

Being a former DevOps or web developer, you know better than anyone how to translate customer requirements to our development team, so that they can be included in the roadmap. You bring a positive attitude and real ambition for growth. As a Technical Support Engineer you also have the following;

  • A strong analytical ability and solution-oriented thinking
  • You are a team player with strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Proactive and able to put yourself in the shoes of clients
  • Experience developing and/or managing web applications and web servers.
  • Programming experience in e.g. PHP or Python
  • Knowledge and experience with modern web stack applications such as ElasticSearch, Varnish, and RabbitMQ
  • Flexible and eager to learn
  • Knowledge and experience with Magento, Shopware, or Akeneo a big plus A good command of the Dutch and English language
