Linux Engineer

Team.blue is a leading digital enabler and offers powerful digital tools to companies and entrepreneurs. We serve more than 2 million customers in 15 countries.

We are looking to fill multiple positions for this vacancy. Please note: candidates living outside of the EU will not be considered.

Your opportunity

TransIP is searching for a new Linux Engineer to ensure that our infrastructure and software deployments keep running buttery smooth. Ever since we became part of team.blue our infrastructure has grown exponentially, as has our need for top-notch maintenance, security and innovation. That’s where you come in: Together with Unit CoreTech you are always searching for new solutions to help maintain Europe’s biggest hosting platforms, and bring our customers the features that they want, quickly and reliably.

What your day will look like

Your role will be made up of a big melting pot of activity. In addition to ensuring that our infrastructure and services are fast, secure and reliable, you will also contribute to big and exciting projects that we have planned for the coming year. Some examples of this are further automation and fireproofing our infrastructure to reduce toil and improve scalability, revamped monitoring and alerting tools, and a next-gen CMS migration. Outside of new developments we also expect you to be able to cover second-line escalation support for our Continuity and PagerDuty shifts, which means you should be available to work outside of normal office hours.

Besides these projects and tasks, we also expect you to be able to cover second-line escalation support for our Continuity and PagerDuty shifts, which means you should be available to work outside of normal office hours.

What you have

  • Ability to develop Shell and Python scripts.
  • A real team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-sufficient and a fast learner with good problem-solving skills.
  • Passion to dedicate yourself to work with full focus on a job.
  • Proactive and able to place yourself in the mind of a customer.
  • Flexible in working times and no 9 to 5 mindset.
  • English and preference for also Dutch speaking.
  • Preferably local or in EU

A note on remote

Covid has changed how we work, in many ways for the better! While we can’t wait for offices to re-open, being at the office isn't always needed to get the best out of your day. This shift to a new way of working is new for all of us, but we are getting there. Taking advantage of the best of both worlds means communicating more, collaborating more online and reimagining teamwork for the digital age.

Or, know someone who would be a perfect fit? Let them know!
