In the Netherlands, team.blue is made up of 10 brands operating in different businesses mainly domain and web hosting, virtual private servers, eCommerce hosting, managed IT services, and broadband networking solutions.
We are looking for a Head of Product Marketing to lead our integrated product marketing team within our commercial organization. You will lead a group of talented marketers focused on building & executing marketing strategies, driving our planned growth, and delivering great products and services to our customers primarily in the Hosting and Managed Services brands (primary brands are TransIP, Vimexx, VDX, Proserve, iXL Hosting). You are supported by and will work closely with colleagues in digital marketing & communications team, product unit owners, sales managers, analytics, and customer services to lead our growth agenda.


What your day will look like


  • Strategy: You work with brilliant people to develop a consolidated marketing strategy for team.blue, built upon dedicated marketing plans for each of our exciting brands and businesses
  • Market & Competitive intelligence: You are curious yet base decisions on facts/data. Understanding of competitive landscape and customer insights via research, customer care and sales insights to lead segmentation efforts and go to market approaches.
  • Differentiated product positioning: You play to win and challenge the status quo. Develop differentiated propositions and innovations for the brands and their target audience, encompassing product / packaging / pricing / experience elements.
  • Customer growth: You are growth oriented and like the thrill of winning market share. Drive commercial momentum via acquisition initiatives: cross-functional leading role to ensure development of acquisition offers with targeted communication to drive lead generation, nurturing funnels and ultimately driving better conversions.
  • Customer & Lifetime Value: You love nurturing our existing customers and building long and mutually profitable relationships. Develop and own ‘customer base development strategy´ which is focused on managing value of customers – via revenue per customer protection, upsell campaigns, customer churn reduction plans to improve tenure and customer lifetime value. Explore potential to cross-sell complimentary services across our brands. Leverage existing customer potential within our group.
  • Go To Market: You like to plan for success in every campaign or product launch. Lead brand and product specific Go to Market plans. Collaborate with Analytics and Digital Marketing & Communications teams to identify right targets for the campaigns, marketing communication plans, digital marketing invest, automate campaign execution, tracking and conversions.
  • P&L & Budget: You feel ownership to drive our financial performance. Will own on behalf of the commercial organization the planning of budgets or forecasting in cooperation with the product marketers, business controllers and Revenue Director.
  • Collaborate: Work across the aisle with the management team, product owners in technology, heads of customer service / sales / digital marketing & communications / commercial operations to generate ideas, ensure alignment and execution of planned initiatives.
  • Partner: Work closely with Revenue Director of team.blue who is responsible for all commercial performance and activities - to review the business performance, projects, and initiatives ensuring support of our strategy within sales, marketing, and product development.


What you have


  • 5+ years of product marketing and/or relevant consulting experience. Experience in the technology sector an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Passion for customers, building propositions based on insights/analytics and providing crisp customer journeys and experience.
  • Experience managing a direct team, and leading cross-functional teams to drive & deliver planned initiatives.
  • Robust quantitative skills and experience using analytics to identify opportunities or solve challenges.
  • Enthusiasm for a fast-growing, fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial drive to deal with change.
  • Deep sense of accountability and the ability to own and lead programs and plans from start to finish.
  • Strong experience in owning responsibility for delivering revenues and playing a leading role in budget planning.
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
